Let's Recap On..

The 4th of July
Hello, Good morning.

Now, if you were on BLOCK ISLAND, for the 4th of July then you already know..
Or, you don't know because you blacked out on the ferry.
Regardless, let's break it down.

And that was only just the ferry. Cause let's be honest, the survival rate of my camera on the beach is not high. I was either going to drop it, break it, or it was going in the ocean. I opted for D. None of the above and kept its in it's case.

But to sum it up, shit was sloppy. What else can you expect when bottles of champagne (as shown above) are being chugged at 10am? Not to mention there was a bar ON the ferry. Talk about genius.

America, baby.
Only the Strong Survive.

If you didn't protect your cooler, you we're screwed. And if you took beer from anyone elses cooler, you were even more screwed. Ask the chick who tried to steal out of my friends cooler.
She did not have as great of a day as everyone else.
(she got kicked in the face and ate sand, then came back for Round 2 and tripped over herself to eat some more sand).

But by far, the best part of the day was when some drunk lady was strolling down the beach yelling
"THIS IS NOT THE JERSEY SHORE! Go Home!"

Not that far off if you ask me..

The Day Party

The Day Party
What they mean when they talk about;
The American Dream
A warm sunny day, your friends, a cold beverage, and some good music is all you need to Darty.

And for those those that don't know..
Darty = Day + Party
Dage= Day + Rage

boom.

Dartying is the epitome of Spring Fever.
Like Today for example. Finals are here and we all should be in the library. But Coast Guard was last night and everyone woke up to a beautiful day. Thanks to some of last nights alcohol still in your system, your best reasoning decides the only to spend the day is daging. Cause, I mean, afterall..
"That final isn't until monday, right?"

I think my phone is ringing right now...

"Hello?"
"What are you doing?"
"About to head to the library.."
"Nope, Greene Lane Block Party"
"Oh."
"Yeah, that's what I thought. See you in 30."
"Dageeeeeeeeee."

It's That Time Again

Coast Guard House

My Coast Guard obsession began during the Fall of 2010.
It gave my friends and I the best of times and the worst of times, which often turned out to still be the best of times.

Coast Guard House has an uncanny ability to cater to whatever you're feeling that night.
If you're opting for a chill evening, you can spend your night on the deck enjoying drinks & casual conversation with your friends...

But if you're in the mood to rage all night the Anchor Room can definitely give you that.
(Example A)

When it closed for the season in October a serious void was left in all of our hearts.
We lived for the nights running through the streets of the Pier,
bouncing from house to house during the before & after hours of CGH

Thankfully it's that time of year again;
Let's bring it back to the Coast Guard House

See you tonight, old friend.

I'm so excited, I'm shocked I can type..

DAYGLOW hit Providence

The World's Largest Paint Party hit America's Smallest State

The two-day Sold Out event was heavily anticipated from the beginning of last semester. Starting in October there was so much word of mouth about it hitting Rhode Island, people were ecstatic. Then we heard it wasn't coming to Rhode Island anymore and was heading right past us to UMass Amhearst. But thankfully a few days later our name was re-added to the list and it was official.
Immediately Facebook & Twitter blew up with statuses galore about it. The day tickets went on sale people woke up at the crack of dawn to order their tickets online.

Incase you live under a rock, let me give you a brief rundown. It's unreal.
People dressed in all white, if they opt to wear clothing at all, and whip and flail paint at your friends and random strangers while simultaneously raging your face off to House music.
I can't give any more detail than that because it's truly something you need to experience for yourself.

It's the kind of thing you saw in a PG-13 movie during the 90's and thought to yourself,
"I wanna doooo that."

If you're local to NYC, DayGlow tour is hitting Hammerstein Ballroom May 26th

Social Experiment

So what happened was...
My friends & I managed to get tickets to last night's "My Dirty Valentine" Bus Trip at like 9 last night so naturally I stopped everything i was doing and got ready to go because who declines free tickets to party? Yeah, i thought so too.

When I say free tickets, I actually mean counterfit ones. And when I say counterfit, I mean this freshman entertainment company used red raffle tickets as their tickets.
Rookie mistake.

Anyway, we get on the bus and I immediately felt like I was in some weird social experiment. Not to be vainglorious or anything, but it was like someone put four red Mercedes in an over crowded parking lot of 1996 Honda Civic's. No offense if you drive one. The clincher was when my friend said:

"There's threesomes, some girl is puking out of the window, some guy is stripping and black boys are touching me.  What the ----?"

I can't make this up. I typed in my notepad occasionally so I wouldn't forget any of these crucial details.  When we finally got to Ultra Nightclub, I had to make sure I was in the right place because it actually looked like a WWE Smackdown. Bouncers man handling girls, guys getting snuffed, and chicks and guys snuffing each other. Had I paid, I would have been livid at that point, but I cheated the system so it was cool.

Regardless of all we encounter, we managed to make the best of it and have a good time. There was no wait at the bar, because we were the only 12 people with "Drinking Age Verified" bracelets. Naturally we ignored everyone and raged in a circle. I just hope the onlookers learned a valuable lesson in the ways of partying.

I was documenting..

Oh, and if anyone I forced to buy me a drink reads this, sorry that I'm persuasive... not really that sorry.

BUS TRIP FEATURES BOCO

BUS TRIP TONIGHT
ULTRA NIGHTCLUB
"My Dirty Valentine"
Music by DJ Doubletake...?

Mind you, I know nothing about this company, the DJ or anything like that. The only reason I'm suggesting people attend is because URI's very own "BoCo" is going to be preforming. He can thank me later for this plug, but seriously I would go just to watch Bobby. Click the link about for me details about the event tonight, regarding tickets and prices and what have you.

I unfortunately will not be attending because i have prior arrangements..
Let me know how it is, I guess?

I, in no way, created the term "My Dirty Valentine"
Just wanted to establish that..
